Last September (2008), my family took a trip to Disneyworld. I LOVE disneyworld. I don't think you even know how much I LOVE disneyworld. While I was stoked to be there and was loving every minute of it, I couldn't help but have a lingering disappointment in the back of my mind. The thought holding me back from fully enjoying the trip was that I was at my all-time heaviest, even through 2 pregnancies. I was out of shape, got tired of walking farely quick, wouldn't swim in the pool at the resort with my kids and hated having my picture taken that trip. I was just about to turn 29 years old and I realized that I had let most of my 20's slip right through my hands because I couldn't get my weight under control. So, a week from tomorrow I will be the big 3-0 and I will be entering my 30's 50lbs lighter! Yay me!
So anyway, when I got home I made the decision to lose weight. Some of you may think I cheated, but I went to a weight loss doctor on Oct. 16th and he prescribed a mild appetite suppresant. I began taking the very next day and by Christmas I had lost about 20lbs. After losing the 20lbs, I decided that I could do even more if I started exercising. So, with my Christmas bonus in hand, I set out to my gym and hired a personal trainer for 2 days a week. I lost an additional 30lbs from Dec to June. It probably would have been more had I ate a little cleaner.
And this is where my story begins. Since July, I have steadily maintained my weight loss and haven't lost anything else. the problem with this is that I still have about 23 lbs to get to my goal. So this is where you come in...I am going to attempt to daily blog about my food and exercise for the day and I need as many of you as possible to keep motivating me to the finish line.
My trainer hasd offered to train me 5 days a week and the same price of the 2 days until I get to my goal. I can see the finish line in sight and I am ready to cross it. I will be attemting the challenge without the help of appetite suppressants. I know that I can accomplish this, I'm just tired of idling and I am ready to go full force into a new healthy lifesyle.
So my mission is...Movin' it to Lose It!!!
